Opportunity for Psychologist Position in a Competent and Stable Psychology Group!

NU Healthcare is part of the Västra Götaland Region and is one of Sweden's larger county hospitals. We are located at NÄL (Norra Älvsborg County Hospital) in Trollhättan and Uddevalla Hospital. The hospital's catchment area includes 280,000 residents. Together, we are about 5,000 employees who work every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare. We are located on the west coast, and our area offers varied nature with both sea, mountains, forests, and lakes.

The Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic in Vänersborg is centrally located, just a few minutes' walk from the Vänersborg train and bus station.

The clinic is organized into several teams, including general psychiatric team, psychosis team, neuropsychiatric team, and MBT team, and offers assessment, investigation, and treatment at a specialist psychiatric level. We have about thirty employees in professional categories such as psychologists, doctors, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, caregivers, rehabilitation coordinators, and secretaries.

The clinic's target group includes individuals with severe anxiety and depression disorders, personality disorders, neuropsychiatric conditions, psychotic disorders, and comorbidity of substance abuse/mental illness. We offer several different treatment methods and models such as PDT, CBT, and MBT.

The clinic has six psychologist positions. Several of the current psychologists have worked at the clinic for many years. The psychologists' expertise in treatment, assessment, and diagnosis is highly sought after, and they play an important role in the teams. Collaboration is good, and we are keen to protect the opportunities for collegial support that this provides. Access to both external and internal supervision in treatment and investigation work is available.

Job Responsibilities

The main job responsibilities include psychotherapeutic interventions as well as assessment and investigation (e.g., neuropsychiatric investigations and personality investigations). The work is carried out in close collaboration with other team members.

Qualifications

Licensed psychologist, preferably with experience in adult psychiatry. MBT competence is an advantage. We place great importance on personal suitability.
